How are you doing today?
I'm doing pretty horrible . Getting over this pneumonia & I think my bestfriend is in handcuffs . EAGLETUCK .
So I've been listening to your music a lot lately and it has such a different feel to it, can you explain why that might be?
Ahhh .. my music has a different feel because its coming from a pure source . I try to create things that change the status quo , music that can resonate with the listener . Life lessons , hopes , dreams , pain .. the only way to make a timeless song is a great story , or ure honesty . & I'm still learning exactly what my sound is . So at times , I'm as clueless as the listener as to what comes next . I don't know why I make the sounds I do , I just create . The feel is an enigma to me .
How long have you been (seriously) making music?
I have been making music seriously , since my 8th grade year with my bestfriend Donte Hoover (SNOOCH) . we use to mess with garage band & made a group called +3RD WORLD+ . Were working on a mixtape right now . In the younger days , my lyrics & such were very juvenile at the time , but I had fun . You can still find the music on http://www.MySpace.com/3rdwoorld . Shits funny , because our voices are so high pitched . Crazy times , 2008 .
Who or what got you into music?
I got into music because I was constantly around it . My dad had his own studio and he made , & still makes beats . He had tons of records & cd's . I basically grew up with a great variety of sounds to absorb . A lot of real hip hop & rap . To this day I can't make a beat in my house without my pops critiquing the shit out me . My dad put me on to everything .
Are you signed yet ?
Am I signed ? No sir , just trying to build a following . Do it the Mac Miller way . Unless kanye & Cudi quit playing & fucking get a hold of my bandcamp !! I have never doubted that I wouldn't get to their level . So ill get that shit somehow . I feel my lyrics & ideas are solid enough to gain attention . Its just in Indianapolis , noone will really be "ride or die with you" (for the last of a better phrase) ... But ill get there , not a doubt in thy mind .
Any big projects we should be looking out for?
HARTNESS will be dropping sometime this January . Me getting sick kind of impeded my ideas .. but I'm gonna release it . Not a big project , that's coming after. I have like 4 more projects after this one in the works . But HARTNESS .. I made the beats . I worked on It . So it just need to be , given to the fans that I do have . New sounds . Trying new things . Some of the songs most likely will blow your mind . That's all .
What genre would you say your music fits in?
I dread this question .. I REALLY DUNNO maaan . Hahaa , I just .. Im not good with genres . I just do it . People need boxes so they can refuse music . Good music should just be enjoyed , not critiqued . But I'm a mix of everything . I do acoustic songs , hip hop , just blending a lot of ideas . I create what I feel , its like an extension of my life . So if a genre is truly needed , I would say the genre is "Human" .
